Looking for a place to send your family or loved ones for dental treatment can be a tall order. Our Oregon City dental office understands the value in finding the best oral care for you and your family.
Oregon City Family Dentistry has proudly served families for more than five decades. This office has seen generations of patients; grandparents, parents, and children, and treats patients of any age – from 2 to 102!
What is a Family Dentist?
A family dentist oversees a number of dental health issues and has patients of all ages. Consider this type of dentist much like your primary care physician. They can diagnose and treat a variety of problems, and then coordinate complex dental treatment.
At Oregon City Family Dentistry, our dentists, Drs. Annalisa and Kyle Smith, will monitor your children’s tooth development, from their baby teeth to their permanent, and provide replacement options for patients struggling with missing teeth. Drs. Annalisa and Kyle Smith have worked to create a family atmosphere in their dental office. The husband-and-wife team are trained in multiple areas of dentistry, including preventative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, sedation dentistry, sleep apnea treatment, bruxism, and dental implants.
Treating Your Children
Our staff loves treating children and even has a portion of the office that is the dedicated “kids’ corner.” We also award prizes to our young patients who stay cavity free between their dental visits.
We recommend that parents bring their children to our office by the time they are 2 or when the first tooth appears. During the first few years of their visits, we will only conduct quick exams of your children’s mouths. We’ll let them sit in the chair, play with the air and the water and build a trust with our professional staff. Around the time your kids are 3 or 4 with fully developed baby teeth, we will begin offering minor cleanings and polishing treatments.
Both of our doctors have children of their own and understand how a doctor’s office might make children feel. Our gentle staff has treated children for decades, and we work diligently to give every child an educational and enjoyable visit.
Restoring Your Smile
Whether you have not been to the dentist for several years or you simply have old fillings that need replaced, we offer restorative dentistry that will blend in with your natural smile and provide optimal support. We place tooth-colored fillings and durable crowns to fix deep cavities or restore teeth that have had root canal treatment.
Dr. Annalisa Smith also has training to provide dental implants to replace missing teeth or to stabilize dentures. We often recommend dental implants in place of dental bridges because they do not require us to prepare nearby teeth.
Our office is trained to handle a number of dental situations, including emergencies. We work to clear our schedule to take in same-day dental emergency visits and offer sedation dentistry for fearful patients or those who need multiple treatments in one visit.
If you want a dental office that can handle almost any oral health issue, while keeping your family happy and smiling, call us today at 503-656-8250 or use the online appointment form to schedule your first visit.
