With H2O, You’ll Be Good To Go

In the summer months it is always beneficial to drink lots of water. This will keep your body nice and hydrated. Beyond that, drinking water can also help keep your breath from smelling foul. That’s because with water you can produce the amount of saliva needed to fight off the bad-breath-causing bacteria.

Brush, Brush, Brush

This one goes without saying all year round. So, don’t get lax with your habits just because it is summer. You will still need to brush every day at least twice and for two minutes at a go. This is your frontline defense against gum disease and tooth decay, so don’t take it lightly.

Flossing Is A Non-Negotiable

Unless you look forward to root canals and extractions, you should be flossing every day in order to get food, tartar, plaque, etc. out of the hard to reach zones in-between your teeth.

Rinse When You Can

It never hurts to finish off your oral hygiene routine with a good rinse. Fluoride mouthwashes in particular can bring added oral health benefits and refresh your mouth.

Avoid Sugar

All the soda pop, ice cream, popsicles, and so forth won’t be good for your smile because all that sugar will feed the bacteria that causes cavities. So, unless you like fillings, try to stay away from sugary snacks this summer
