Your Family Deserves The Best Dental Care Around

We are confident that you will feel right at home at Oregon City Family Dentistry. In our office, we have the tools, technology, and training necessary to deliver an expanded array of services including:

Dental Implants

Losing teeth as an adult can destroy your health as well as your confidence, until you find a good solution.

Fortunately, we can offer dental implants as a viable, permanent solution for restoring your life following tooth loss. This procedure will make you feel better, look younger, and live longer, with any luck!

We actually handle implants in three stages.

First, we will surgically embed an implant into your jaw with the tip just above the bone structure. We let the implant fuse with your bone for three to six months, then we place a post in the implant. This post provides the structure for the new tooth.

The very last step is placing a crown is over the post. That is the part that actually looks like a tooth.

When we are through with you, you will have your health, appearance and normal life back. Doesn’t that sound like a good plan?

Dental Fillings

Fillings are effective at treating cavities when the decay does not extend into the roots of your teeth. At OC Family Dentistry, you can customize your fillings by selecting from tooth colored composite, porcelain, silver, or gold. It is always nice to have personalized options!

You’ll be pleased to learn that the process for fillings is fast and easy. We will first gently remove the decay to prevent further damage to your teeth. The filling material will then applied and allowed to harden, and you will be good to go with a restored smile.

Dental Crowns

We use dental crowns to cover a tooth and bring it back to its normal shape and size.

Crowns work best in situations where a tooth’s structure is no longer capable of supporting a filling (usually because of decay or some sort of injury). When this is the case, a dental crown can be used to cover and strengthen the remaining tissue. Crowns are also used to attach a bridge, cover an implant, or protect weak or broken teeth.

We can do a lot of restorative work with the help of crowns.

Fixed partial dentures are commonly called bridges.

What do bridges do?

A dental bridge is used to replace missing teeth. It is affixed into place with glue and can be fashioned from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials.

As opposed to dentures, a bridge is not removed at night.

Dentures and Partials

False teeth, or dentures, are prosthetic dental devices that replace missing teeth.

Dentures rely on support from surrounding bone structure and gums and must be taken out nightly for cleaning. When some teeth still remain in the arch, a removeable partial denture can be used. It is often chosen as a more affordable alternative to a bridge, or if a patient is not a good candidate for a bridge.
