We see new patients frequently who have not seen a dentist in years, or patients who need full-mouth reconstruction. It’s common for some patients to give up hope and assume there’s nothing that can be done to fix their smile. That’s almost never the case! At Oregon City Family Dentistry, our goal is to guide you in your dental journey and help you achieve the smile of your dreams.
Drs. Annalisa and Kyle Smith are trained to solve a variety of problems with gentle, noninvasive care. When it comes to your smile, it’s never too late to invest the time and resources into finding a smile that will boost your confidence and help you improve your oral and overall health.
Restore Your Mouth in One Visit
Our office takes a special interest in helping patients overcome dental hurdles, whether that means fixing broken teeth, replacing missing teeth, or fixing flaws in teeth.
Using our oral conscious sedation, we can treat fearful patients or complete a number of treatments in just one sitting. Finishing your treatments in one sitting is a huge advantage to the patient. Oftentimes, patients will have to wait weeks or months to fix their dental issues. That means more time off work or away from family – not to mention you run the risk of your dental problems getting worse.
Patients absolutely are amazed at how oral conscious sedation improves their dental visits. Oral conscious sedation, which is rendered in pill form, is taken before your dental procedure. You’ll have a friend or family member drive you to our office and take you home following the treatment. Most of our oral sedation patients are so relaxed during their treatments that they actually fall asleep in the dental chair and barely remember the procedure if they manage to stay awake.
Repair Missing Teeth
Living with missing teeth or removable dentures can lower your quality of life and decrease your overall and oral health. Until a few decades ago, patients had few options to replace missing teeth. They either had to live with distracting gaps in their smile or wear uncomfortable removable dentures. Unfortunately, some patents are still living with gaps and ill-fitting dentures, even though we have options to repair their smile: dental implants.
Dental implants provide optimal chewing force and can last decades, if not forever! Our implants are restored with beautiful porcelain or zirconia dental crowns, dentures, or even bridges. Dr. Annalisa Smith has taken countless continuing education courses to provide patients with options to fix missing teeth or to stabilize dentures. The transition from missing teeth to dental implants is simply amazing.
After having our dental implants, patients no longer feel self-conscious about their smile, and they can eat the food they have been missing for years! There’s a huge difference between implant-retained dentures and removable dentures. Dental implants have about 90 percent of the chewing force of natural teeth, while removable dentures have only about 25 percent of the force of natural teeth.
If you are suffering the effects of cavities or even more serious tooth loss, we have dental reconstruction services that will help you get your oral health back on track. Call us today at 503-656-8250 or use our online form to schedule an appointment with our office.
